My name is Alessandro. I was born in October 1985 in Montebelluna in the province of Treviso (near Venice), semi-paralyzed, with half of my torso and my left arm paralyzed.
I entered the water at the age of 4 and came out at 22, healthy, having overcome the paralysis.
For 10 years I worked as a swimming instructor, teaching children, elderly people, and especially people with disabilities, both physical and mental.
After swimming I practiced martial arts: first Shaolin Kung Fu, then Thai Boxing. Although, “in the middle of the journey of my life”, I also tried Arm Wrestling… just to test the new left arm! 🦾
In my life I have done many jobs, and it wasn’t easy to find my path. Today I am a former metalworker. In fact, I am a former many things.
However, I have always had a natural inclination for writing and blogging, a passion that eventually led me to create Chronosphera.
I am a great watch enthusiast and I have always been fascinated by the mystery and relativity of Time, a concept that brings together science, philosophy, and precision mechanics.
With Chronosphera, my goal is to explore and tell the story of the world of watchmaking in all its forms: from mechanical movements to technological innovations, from historic watch brands to the most curious and accessible models.
The project was created with the intention of sharing knowledge, discovering new watches, and building an archive dedicated to the culture of time, designed for enthusiasts, curious readers, and collectors.
Chronosphera aims to be a place where time is not only something that is measured, but something that is observed, understood, and told. ⌚
Oh, I almost forgot: when my “monster” came out..
..it made me explode 2 watches! ❤️🔥
